Game Artist Summary
The things I learned from my finding about become a Game Artist were What are the skills needed to become a Game Artist and it told me that I would have to be creative and have skill the be able to do that job. Second I looked for how much a Game Artist makes, and they roughly make about $41,500 a year it depends on how long you keep working. The third question I asked was 'what are some benefits?' and I found that a Game artist gets paid for how well they do the job, medical, and space to work. My fourth question was 'What does a game artist do' and it told me that a game artist mostly works on computers and puts color, texture, and mood into the game. The Fifth question was 'What do Game Artist need to know?' and I found out that do be a game artist you would have to know how to find mistakes and be able to fix them or work around them. Also to balance color and bring a flow to the artwork they present to the employer. The Sixth question was 'What are the employers looking for in an Artist?' so I looked it up and it said that employers are looking for experience and passion in the artist to do jobs. Seventh question was about 'what tools do artists use?' and its mostly apps on the computer and knowing traditional art before they consider trying to drawing on the computer. The eight question is asking 'What do you do with a degree in Game Art?' and to sum it down. Its saying that you can do anything that involves a computer and that you have experience. People are up to hire you if you have a degree than if you just do it with out an education or the know how.
The most important facts I learned was that you wont make a lot of money in this career and that if you want to go down this road, it will be best that you have a back up career that you can fall back on. Because not many people make it in this career no mater how good they are. The thing I found that was most surprising was that even now girls get paid less in the gaming industry and in the outside world. And if you want to get into this career drawing has be able to come naturally to you because if it doesn't you wont make it. I can't really think of any more questions right now about this career, but I'm sure I can come up with some more later on. I don't really know how I feel about this career, but even so I feel confident that I may like to pursue it. If not I will go for teaching art or just visual arts.
